I really don’t have time for this…so many items on the “to-do”
list…all tough to do with a 2 year old about. HOWEVER, I really think this
needs to be said. So much so that I’m considering making this somewhat of a
regular topic on my blog….which is still seeking regular topics by the way.
Food. That’s my topic. Too general? How about “Processed
Food” or “Prepackaged 100% Natural” food?
I’m trying Weight Watchers. Yes, I’ll admit it. I truly,
honestly, and completely want to get somewhere in the neighborhood of my
pre-kid weight. A lofty goal to be sure but WW seems to be working and I don’t
have to do TOO much out of my way. It stands to reason I would try some “diet” foods to go with my “diet” diet. Target prices are incredibly reasonable for the frozen varieties of such, so I indulged. Spinach pizza? Surprisingly good and very filling – 9 points. Spinach and artichoke panini? Also very tasty and only 8 points. “100% Natural Portabella Spinach Parmesan??” 95% nasty and I’m being generous. The noodles tasted like cardboard, the spinach I think might have liquefied, the mushrooms were….suffice it to say this meal looked NOTHING like the packaging.
And as a general complaint…don’t take every bit of the
tomato away except the toughest exterior and call that a tomato! The result is
only wet cardboard.
And what’s with the red peppers? They put red peppers in
almost every bleepin’ (I live in Illinois so I can say bleepin’…thank you Blago)
pasta dish?!! If they think they’re
throwing in some freebie vitamins..someone please tell them to stop. I don’t
eat them anyway and I’d question anyone who does.
Ok. Whew. I’m done. Back to our regularly scheduled
programming.
